In this SUV dominated Indian car market, every major car giant seems to be on a race to the finish, of producing more advanced, powerful and efficient SUV than the other, and with the launch of the New Trailblazer today i.e. 21 October, 2015 Chevrolet has also entered the competition.
The new Trailblazer is rumored to be the best SUV so far by the company. This beast has been a top seller by the company since its first launch. High demand from the US, Thailand and Philippines car markets motivated the company to work on the new refreshed model.
Built on a ladder frame chassis, the beast measures 4.878m long, 1.902m wide and stands 1.834m tall with a wide wheelbase of 2.870m. Borrowing design features from its cousin, the Chevrolet Tahoe, the car will look quite similar to it. With an up-right front, stylish grille, bolder headlights with daytime running LED lights, refreshed bumper, brand new 18inch alloy wheels and revamped taillamps and bumper. On the inside, the SUV sports a dual tone black and beige interior and a new MyLink touchscreen infotainment system. The safety features included in the car are ABS, EBD, ESC, downhill assist, traction control, engine drag control and airbags.
Under the hood, the 7 seater comes packed with a 2.8 litre 4-cylinder V8 petrol and diesel engine which churns out 200 bhp of maximum power and 470Nm of torque coupled with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission the SUV will be available in both 2WD and 4WD options
To sum up, all we can say is that with a price tag of Rs 26.40 Lakh, bold look, comfortable interiors, feature rich and with a power house under the hood this car sounds like a winner. Which we think it is. The car is sure to take the likes away from its rivals and punch a dent on their sales.
