The much anticipated new Honda Jazz has benn finally launched in India today i.e. on 8 July, 2015. The car has been manufactured at the company's Rajasthan and Greater Noida facility where it developed certain issues, which according to the company was the reason behind the delay.
Talking about the exterior, the car gets a stylish grille, an aggressive front with a bold bumper sporting large air vents. The sides get a refreshed quasi-MPV, mono volume shape and will feature steel or alloy wheels and killer tail lamps at the back.
On the inside, the new Jazz offers spacious interiors, black plastic additions to the dashboard and the premium version gets a touchscreen infotainment system with bluetooth, dvd/cd and aux-in connectivity, steering mounted controls, touch sensitive climate control system and power steering. The seats inside the Jazz are called 'Magic Seats' as they offer a number of seating modes, which are Refresh Mode, Tall Mode, Utility Mode and Long Mode.
Under the hood, the new Jazz is powered by 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine which churn out 87bhp with 110 Nm of torque at 4800rmp and a 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine producing 100bhp and 200Nm at 5200rpm which will be coupled with a 5-speed manual CVT transmission box. Fitted with a 40 litre fuel tank the car.
With a price tag of Rs. 5.35 - 8.63 lakh, the new hatchback comes stuffed with features such as central locking, child lock, hill start assist, remote locking, fog lamps, E-Stop signal, ABS and airbags.
