Renault, the French automobile manufacturer, is all set to launch its new Duster facelift in March after unveiling the car on February 4th, 2016 at the 2016 Auto Expo. The company made a formal announcement about the car's a few days ago. The best seller by Renault with its new facelift aims to give its competitors like the New Mahindra XUV500, Ford EcoSport and the Hyundai Santa Fe a stiff competition.
Talking about the car's exterior, this facelifted version of Duster gets no major cosmetic makeovers, just minor tweaks, which includes the stylish carved out wheel arches with alloy wheels while the AWD version will sport gunmetal grey alloy wheels. With black or chrome door handles, large windscreen, defogger, chrome surrounded tailgates, dual tone bumpers, a stylish chrome grille and large headlamps
In the interior, this facelifted SUV houses a large spacious cabin with a seating capacity of 5 people. it features a dual tone interior with high-quality upholstery, advanced instrument panel, with a multi-information screen, stunning leather wrapped tilt adjustable steering wheel with mounted audio controls with an upgraded central console and cruise control.
Under the hood, the SUV comes equipped with a 1.6 litre K4M 4 cylinder DOHC petrol engine which churns out 102.5 bhp @ 5850 rpm producing a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 3750 rpm and the 1.5 litre dCi diesel engine which churns out a power of 83.8 bhp @ 3 750 rpm producing a maximum torque of 200Nm @ 1750 rpm, coupled to a 5 speed manual transmission or an automated manual transmission (AMT) box, which helps the car attain a top speed of 160 kmph with an acceleration of 0-100 kmph in under 12 seconds, and provides a decent fuel economy of 20 kmpl.
Talking about safety, the SUV comes equipped with front ventilated disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The car also comes with many other safety features including ABS with EBD, brake assist system, engine immobilizer, rear defogger, foglamps, EPS, twin airbags, rear parking sensor and much more.
