As promised earlier, Suzuki (aka Maruti Suzuki in India) has finally launched the Ertiga Facelift today i.e. on 15 October, 2015 with a price tag of Rs 6 Lakh for basic version and Rs 9.25 Lakh for top spec variant. First unveiled at Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, on August 20, 2015 Ertiga was Maruti Suzuki's first MPV for the Indian market.
Since it is a facelift, the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga sports only cosmetic changes. On the exterior the Eritga Facelift now has a new 3-slat chrome grille, smaller
central intake, revamped radiator grille and revised fog lamp housings with chrome elements. The facelift also features new 10-spoke 15-inch alloy wheel design, more choices in exterior paint colors along with revised tail-lamp cluster with new reflector elements, new bumper and a thick chrome garnish on the license plate. The interiors of the car as well gets few upgrades and additional features like electrically-adjustable outside rear-view
mirrors (ORVMs), third row seats with 50:50 split, driver & front
passenger airbags, one push power up driver-side window an engine Start/Stop button to phone controls
on the steering wheels.
The facelift continues to be powered by a 1.3-liter DDiS diesel engine or a 1.4-liter K-Series
(K14B) VVT petrol engine, which churns out 95 PS power and 130 Nm of peak
torque. The engine is mated with either a
5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission, with an option for 5-speed AMT (automated manual
transmission).
The Indonesian-spec Suzuki Ertiga will follow the CKD Channel, with kits
being manufactured at Maruti Suzuki’s plant in Gurgaon and assembled at
Suzuki’s facility in East Bekasi, Java.
