Skoda, the Czech automobile manufacturer, announced the launch of the Rapid Zeal Edition. Skoda is offering this new Zeal edition across all of its cars which includes Octavia, Yeti and Superb. The limited edition Zeal variant of Rapid with its added features is sure to take the likes away from Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and improve its performance on the sales chart.
The Rapid Zeal edition features leatherette and beige Alcantara seats, a Germin navigation device, rear view camera, rear Parktronics, observation mirror a black dashboard and door inserts along with floor textile mats and a much sportier cabin. The beige interiors were specifically kept in mind by the designers at Skoda, to help better heat absorption which makes it a perfect choice for the Indian climate. With all this additional features the Rapid feels more premium and desirable.
The features added in this limited addition Rapid are strictly cosmetic therefore under the hood there ain't any changes. The car is powered by a 1.5 litre 16V Turbocharged Diesel engine which churns out a maximum power of 103.6 bhp @ 4400 rpm which delivers a maximum torque of 250 Nm @ 1500- 2500 rpm coupled to a 6 speed automatic transmission with triptronic manual gear changing option which helps it attain a top speed of 175 kmph . This Skoda offers a decent mileage of 20kmpl and comes with a price tag of 9.4 lac.
