Volkswagen, the German automobile manufacturer, finally launched the much anticipated Vento Facelift, in India today i.e. on 23 June, 2015. This facelifted model features some changes both outside and inside. This new sedan is sure to give Maruti Suzuki Ciaz a stiff competition. The new facelift seems to be company's effort to revive the cars performance on the sales chart which the fast aging sedan urgently needs.
The new model sports a brand new front bumper with three slat chrome grille with larger air dam. On its side the car features 15 inch Zirkonia alloy wheels. While at the back the facelift includes a new bumper with a thick chrome strip and improved tail lamps. The new Vento gets a length raise of 6mm while its height has been increased by just 1mm, even the ground clearance gets an increment by 2mm from 163mm to 165mm.
The interior, in the new Volkswagen Vento, is stuffed with features like dead pedal, cruise control and cooled glovebox. Its Highline variant gets Walnut Desert Beige interior while its base variant Treadline and Comfortline receive Cloud Titanschwarz interior theme.
On the engine front, the new Vento gets the same 1.5 litre 4 cylinder diesel engine, which gives a maximum power output of 103.5 bhp @ 4400 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm @ 1500-2500 rpm, coupled with a five speed manual and a seven speed DSG automatic transmission box, providing a mileage of 21.5 kmpl.
To sum up we can say that this new Vento facelift by Volkswagen, has all the necessary changes which the aging sedan desperately required to regain its lost glory. Now packed with new cosmetic makeovers, design changes, mechanical upgrades and refreshed interiors, this new model is all set to take the likes away from the new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz .
