Land Rover, the British car manufacturer has released a host of updates for its 2016 Evoque, ahead of its debut at the Geneva Auto Show. When the Evoque was initially launched, the company aimed an annual sales of 35,000 units, but ended up catering 125,000 orders. The company has high hopes that its new model will boost the car's performance on the sales chart to the next level.
Talking about the car's exterior, we don't see any major cosmetic makeovers therefore the bestseller retains its chunky and charming looks. A brand new front bumper sporting a pair of bigger more aggressive looking air intakes with integrated LED fog lamps accompanied by two new grille design. Even the turn indicators will come integrated with LED running lamps along with adaptive LED headlamps. Not only that a new tailgate spoiler with a wider LED third brake light has also been incorporated into the compact SUV. But the main highlight of this Evoque is its brand new Gesture Tailgate feature which is a cool wave-a-foot-under-the-bumper-and-it'll-open technology.
Inside, the interior gets refreshed seats and doorsills, with 8-way power adjustable front seats it gets Lunar Ice and Vintage Tan color options. But the main highlight remains Land Rover's InControl infotainment system. The rear seat entertainment system features a pair of 8-inch screen with wireless headphones
Under the hood, the new powertrain will come with a pair of 2 litre 4-cylinder turbocharged TD4 V6 diesel engine incorporating Jaguar Land Rover's new Ingenium technology. Coupled with a 9-speed automatic transmission box this beast will churn out 240 bhp of maximum power.
Other features of this car includes driver assists features like lane keeping, autonomous emergency braking, a drowsiness monitor and an All Terrian Progress Control system.
