As expected the all new Audi Q3 Facelift is here, the German car giant after recently launching the RS Avant in India on June 4, has also launched the new Q3 Facelift on June 18. Audi's aggressive product strategy is evident from this move and this time for dominance in the entry level luxury SUV market, specially in India. After making its debut back in 2012 this refreshed version of the bestseller features only cosmetic changes. Built at the company's Aurangabad facility the car comes with a price-tag of Rs 28.99 lakh.
Speaking about the exterior, the SUV gets a refreshed look, the new single frame hexagonal front grille with aluminium surrounds flanked by elegant headlamps and a new front bumper with large air-vents. On the side, the car retains its original design language but with sportier and chunky new 17-inch alloy wheels along with dynamic turn indicators. The rear looks the same as the earlier model, except this time with LED daytime running tail-lamps.
Inside, the SUV has a spacious cabin with luxurious black interiors, a refreshed dashboard housing new instrument cluster with chrome surrounds and aluminium finish on the controls. The new Q3 comes equipped with Audi's MMI system with sat-nav and an infotainment system supporting 20gb internal storage, Bluetooth and a rear view camera. Other features added into the facelift are, LED interior lighting, adjustable front seats, new paddle shifters, power steering and a panoramic sunroof.
Under the hood, the SUV is powered by 2 litre 4-cylinder TDI diesel engine churning out 177bhp of maximum power and 380Nm of maximum torque, coupled with a smooth 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox, is the same as the outgoing model. The car offers Comfort and Dynamic driving modes. Unfortunately the 2 litre TFSI petrol engine won't be available at the time of launch but hopefully should make it at a later date.
To conclude all we can say is that, the new Audi Q3 looks a lot sportier than its previous version, all thanks to its refreshed design, comes with added features, premium interiors, but retains its engines. The car is available in 3 shades Red, Blue and Brown. With a decent price-tag the Q3 is sure to take the likes away from its rivals.
