Ford, the American automaker, after revealing the new EcoSport facelift at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show has finally launched it in India. EcoSport was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 6.79 Lakh - Rs 10.44 Lakh. EcoSport is currently the best seller by Ford which is exported to nearly 40 countries globally including the South African, European and Australian markets.
The car gets rid of the external spare wheel, which can be added back on request, features bespoke 17 inch wheels, black mirror caps, privacy glass for all variants and a rear diffuser. The compact SUV gets a trapezoidal grille, slim headlight clusters and L-shaped fog light enclosures, which makes it look similar to new Ford Edge. This new Ford provides better noise cancellation with the use of better sound absorbing materials in the dashboard and door to cancel road, wind and engine noise.

Interiors:
First launched in mid 2013, this new ford gets relocated hand brakes, partial leather seats, lowered charcoal black instrument panel along with center console and door boards, a 4 inch display along with Ford’s voice-controlled connectivity system, Sync and a winter pack consisting of heated windscreen, seats and mirrors which also includes a rear seat ducting along with a re-tuned rear twist beam along with spring and damper rates. The car has also been lowered by 10mm. This new ford will also feature an optimized Electronic Stability Control and power steering system, along with sat-nav and rear-view camera.
Engine:
As far as mechanical changes are concerned the new EcoSport will have the same 1.5 litre TiVCT petrol and TDCi diesel engine, and the 1.0 litre 3 cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost petrol. The company has also made changes to both the drive and power train which includes a reduced gearbox torque truncation in lower gears which in turn improves torque. The facelifts driving dynamics have also been improved thanks to revisions to
the entire suspension set-up which
includes changes to the springs, dampers and rear torsion beam.
